Lugu Lake, Heaven on Earth

Rock came to Yunnan in 1922. He spent 27 years in Yunnan, and for over 20 years he lived on an island in Lugu Lake. 

Rock had deep emotion of this land which is surrounded by water. When he was dying, he told his best friend (in 1926) that, he preferred to die among the flowers on Lugu Island, instead of dying in the hospital in Hawaii.

Today I follow the footsteps of Rock to this incredible lake. There are 5 islands, 3 peninsulas, 1 seawall attached island. They are of different shapes with thousands of green trees. They look like green boats floating on the lake.

I was sitting beside the lake quietly. Before I came here, I am a city man with too many upset things hunting in my mind.

I couldn’t find a proper word to describe what I saw. Heaven is the only word I can say.

My “traveling by car” plan is been prepared for quite a long time. My journey is along the yellow river. It is really unforgettable tour.

There are large amount of slit in Yellow River. Thousand years ago, the area of Yellow Rive once was covered by endless forests. However, climate changed and people endlessly explored the land. The rich land gone.

The Yellow River is called "the cradle of Chinese civilization”. It was the birthplace of ancient Chinese civilizations and the most prosperous region in early Chinese history.

As time passes by, the bed of Yellow River keeps lifting up. Floods happen frequently when the rainy season arrives.

A spring travel of a small village in China

If you want to have a trip in china and don’t want to be the crowed places, then I strongly recommended you a place named Wuyuan. Last week me and my friends had a trip in Wuyuan. Wuyuan is one of the most beautiful villages in China. It is in Jiangxi province, Jingde town. 

When I arrived at my destination, it was 6 a.m. So I ate my breakfast at a local restaurant. The meal was pretty good.

Then I start my trip. There are endless golden flowers. Rape flowers were yellowing the fields. The historical buildings are amazing.
